In the early 1970s, not a lot of pool power came through Montgomery other than SP/SSW units on L&N 72/73. Oddly enough, though, SP/SSW units did occasionally show up on SCL trains on the former SAL line that ran to Richland, GA, where lines ran to both Savannah and to Bainbridge. So, in effect, SP power came into Montgomery from the east. FYI - This train - powered by two U25Bs, a GP30 and GP35, all SP - is headed for Bainbridge.
