End of the (CNJ) Line: To honor Frank "Jethro" Strunk, the last former Central Railroad of New Jersey engineer serving with NJ Transit, the agency assigned its CNJ Heritage Unit (originally CNJ 3677) to his last runs on the Raritan Valley Line (the ex-CNJ Main Line). Railfans turned out in full force for his last run on Train 5441, particularly in the vicinity of Boyd Tower just east of the last stop at Raritan station.
