Today, 7/20/21, saw the NJT 4109 fulfill its role as a tribute locomotive in more than one way. Train 5441 to Raritan was the final run for veteran engineer Frank Strunk, who originally hired on with the Central Railroad of New Jersey in 1968. As a final send off, the 4109 was placed in the lead of this train, allowing a CNJ man to end his career running a CNJ engine over CNJ rails.
