A second rail grinder is being used to grind the rail between Salisbury and Spencer. It is one Loram's specialty grinders that works at a slower speed than the RG400 series. It operates at 12 mph with the same 30 hp grind motors as the RG400 series. It typical grinds switches, crossings and other obstacles.
