Remarks & Notes
An eastbound set of Septa Silverliner IV's arrive at the station in Downingtown, PA. This line is SEPTA's "Paoli/ Thorndale Line", also better known as Amtrak's Keystone Line - all former PRR.

At one time, in fact, there were five tracks through the station. A beautiful station built by the PRR in 1892 once stood here, as seen here in a series of historic photos. Sadly, the station was destroyed by fire in the early morning of February 24, 1992.

Despite its small footprint, the "station", oddly, serves most Amtrak Keystone trains, though, primarily serves commuters on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line. Until November 7, 2011 one Sunday eastbound Amtrak Pennsylvanian train stopped here.
