At Union Pacific’s Kansas City Locomotive Facility on October 22, 2013, a pair of machinists replace a power assembly in prime mover of Helm Leasing Corp. (HLCX) EMD GP38-2 No. 3849. An overhead crane equipped with a specialized jig attachment provides the correct angle for the installation, and allows the it to clear the dynamic brake bulge at the roofline.
