Remarks & Notes
10 years ago, Baldwin built 2-8-2 "Mikado" 141 R # 568 (former French Railways SNCF) with the "Swiss Classic Train" made two round trips from Winterthur through eastern part of Switzerland on may 1th. Locomotive and cars are owned by "William Cook Rail" of Andrew Cook from the UK. The train is tackling the 1.2 % grade from Stein am Rhein up to Etzwilen with full speed. The cars of the "Swiss Classic Train" are former heavy steel cars of the SBB, refurbished in Ceske Velenice/Czech Republic and labeled as Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon at the desire of the owner. The car behind the locomotive is a former french mail car, now rebuilt as tools and staff car. Since 2017 locomotive and cars are based in Vallorbe.
