| Fall is my favorite, especially with moody morning light.
I had heard that the SD70ACUs, many of which were in active helper service out of Altoona were going to be retired so I wanted to try and capture some while I still could.
This late October morning found a pair holding back a train as it drifted down grade passing the site of the Park Hill slag dump. It was a long hike and I arrived pre-dawn, the fog was thick even after the sun began to break through. But it was worth it to watch monsters at work on the grade!
