Remarks & Notes
It’s 2 days before Christmas and Soldier Summit, Utah, elevation 7500’, is in the clouds. This Utah Ry. empty coal train is about 100’ from reaching the summit itself. After that it is 22 miles of constant downgrade reaching 2.4% maximum to Utah Ry. Junction where home rails are regained.
