Burlington Northern EMD E9 No. 9921 leads a westbound Metra commuter train out of Chicago on September 1, 1991. Dominating the background is 108-story, 1,450-foot Sears Tower. At completion in 1974, the tallest building in the world, a title it held for nearly 25 years.
