Between 6 and 7

Amtrak 5 the California Zephyr is exiting the bore at Tunnel 6 and about to enter the darkness of Tunnel 7 high up on the Flatiron Range over Boulder County. Westbound and late today the fall light is just beginning to fill the region. Shot on Mavic Pro 2.

Two Amtrak routes serve the Centennial State. The California Zephyr's route through Moffat Tunnel and along the Colorado River goes from one end of the state to the other. The Southwest Chief cuts across the southeast corner.
