Locomotive Ge 4/4 II # 616 "Filisur" of the RhB returned from St.Moritz to Samedan in the blue hour and is changing driving direction to go into the depot. In this moment, both pantographs are lifted. The locomotive has a publicity paint scheme (adhesives) for collection of donations for the refurbishment of the steamlocomotive G 3/4 # 1 "RHAETIA" from 1889, the very first locomotive of the RhB respectively the predessor railway Landquart-Davos (LD). Most of the needed amuount of about 940 000 swiss francs were collected already.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
