Last day of the 2020 season on the Furka mountain line. The heavy 0-8-0 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704, built by SLM Winterthur in 1923 for the Chemins de fer de l'Indochine (Indochina railway in the french colonies) is on the warm-up run in the gorge of the Furkareuss behind Realp. In 1990, this locomotive was brought back from Vietnam to Switzerland more or less as scrap and she is operational like new since 2018. On the left ist the Hippsche Wendescheibe, mechanical entrance signal of Realp, now showing "open" for the return of the locomotive to DFB station.
