"Spare Train at Eastlake"
A RTD N Line "Spare Train" sits at the tail end of the new line's northern terminus, Eastlake & 124th Station. Spare trains sit at various locations on the RTD system, ready to spring into action in the event of an emergency, mechanical failure of another train or similar situation. The "N Line" is RTD's newest commuter rail line which features 18.5 miles of new right-of-way, 9 new stations between Union Station & North Adams County, and 20-30 minute service headways. The first 13 miles (6 stations) opened on September 21st, 2020.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
