Remarks & Notes

I was standing on the platform of Utica station waiting for some action and I got into conversation with an employee of the Adirondack Scenic railroad. During the conversation he asked if I had been inside the station building to which I replied that I hadn't. He said that I must see it and added that at one time it had been proposed that it was to be torn down.When I went inside I thought what an act of official vandalism that would have been. It is magnificent!!
