| NIRC SW1 #2 serves as the shop switcher at Metra's 47th Street Facility. On a cloudy afternoon, it's seen doing its switching work. Unlike it's sister (NIRC 1), #2 is rarely viewed by the public eye. It was built in 1946 as the IC 9025 and later spent time with the Rock Island as their #4804, before coming to Metra. |
