The late Allegheny Ridge Tower. In 1909, the Pennsylvania Railroad opened AR Tower to consolidate control of a variety of interlockings in the area. In 1995, it was closed as its function were transferred to Harrisburg, PA. This week, the tower, badly decayed after 25 years of disuse, is being removed.
