A set of four Burlington Northern EMD SD40-2 helpers, spliced by a fuel tender, have just cut off the rear of a coal train, crossed over and are now headed back to Crawford to assist another coal load on July 9, 1994. Another eastbound train has followed them up Crawford Hill, an intermodal train led by BN F9A-2 BN-1 and F9B-2 BN-2, and several office cars are behind the road power.
