Remarks & Notes
Just heard that Union Pacific is cancelling their planned trips with the 4014 for 2020.They hope to run trips in 2021 We shall see. How fortunate we were last year to participate in the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad with the Locomotive. Leaving Cima in the Mojave Desert Preserve, Union Pacific No.4014 steams west to it's next stop at Kelso and then on to Yermo for an overnight. A good size crowd was on hand to greet the 4014 at this isolated spot in the Desert as it climbed up the east slope of Cima Hill The last time it was through here it was being towed to Cheyenne Wyoming for a complete rebuild. Now it returns to pull an excursion for the Railgiants Museum in Pamona Ca. part of the deal between Union Pacific and the Museum for the Locomotive. Everyone be safe out there, Chris
