| Newly restored 1102 leads DG 772 and DJ 1221 on a special returning from Middlemarch to Dunedin. The train is crossing Christmas Creek on a viaduct typical of line operated by Dunedin Railways for tourist trains. 1102 was built in 1966 and 772 was in service 1956 to 1983. Both English Electric locomotives were bought and restored by Diesel Traction Group. 1221 was built by Mitsubishi in 1968 and is one of several operated by Dunedin Railways. |
