| The Intercity Tilting train ICN (Intercity Neigezug) RABDe 500 # 014 "Max Frisch" is leaving Winterthur, running as IC 1532 of the line IC5 from St.Gallen via Winterthur-Zürich Airport-Zürich main station-Olten-Solothurn-Biel-Neuchâtel-Yverdon-les-Bains to Lausanne. The SBB has 44 of this ICN, built from 1999 to 2005 by Adtranz/Fiat-SIG (first series) and Bombardier/Alstom (second series). They have a maximum velocity of 200 km/h and 5200 kW. The car bodies are tilting up to 8 degrees and allow about 10 to 20 % higher velocity through curves. |
