The Detour Train: CSXT train Z01613 cruises past “Summit” in Washington, MA on the CSX B&A Subdivision as they continue their trek to Pan Am Railways in Worcester, MA. With an interesting backstory, this train is a rerouted Pan Am Southern train 22K, detouring due time partial collapses in the famed Hoosac Tunnel on PAS’ District 3. With considerable damage to the tunnel and pending inspections, the two key Pan Am Southern intermodal trains will be taking the CSX trackage for the foreseeable future. With that said, it is awesome to see a foreign locomotive leading a train over the B&A, as specific cab signaling is required to do so. And so the chase went on!
