Last run to the Rock. MTA New York City Transit Subway/New York Transit Museum car 4826 lead the last Far Rockaway/Mott Avenue bound run of the R-42s on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. These cars, which first entered service in 1969, have just passed fifty in service years on the NYC subway, and now yield to the R-179s.
