Remarks & Notes |
The Colorado Ski Train is once again in operation for the 2020 season. Here we see Amtrak 175 leaving the Denver skyline behind at dawn as it climbs through Big Ten Curve. The train shuttles riders from Denver's downtown Union Station and takes them directly to the Winter Park Ski Resort via the scenic Moffat Line and its 31 tunnels. The train trip saves riders an estimated 3 hours of what would otherwise be driving time on a very busy I-70. The train returns to Denver in the evening, usually as the sun is setting on the Colorado Front Range. |
