Remarks & Notes

After losing the #4 traction motor while pushing the NS 756 to Belews Creek Steam Station, the NS 8721 has the motor replaced with an axle for the trip back to the repair shop in Roanoke. 2 cranes from Mid East Railroad Service based out of Carthage, NC performed the task of lifting the locomotive for the maintenance crew.
