Remarks & Notes 
During every Fall, wash trains are run throughout the commuter rail system to keep the tracks clear of residue. A high pressure jet of water is sprayed onto the railhead to clear leaf residue away, allowing for better traction. Here, a Wash-Extra heads West to Wachusett under the former Central Mass Branch bridge, which hasn't been used since the Boston & Maine era in the early 80s.
