Norfolk Southern's one-of-a-kind to date AC44C6CF rebuilt DC to AC locomotive, #8520, is seen at Driftwood, PA awaiting eventual pickup from the Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad, where it will be boarded by CAF technicians for a new round of testing. The unit is equipped with CAF-built traction motors and with CAF having a location in Hornell, NY, the WNYP offers the closest location for road testing to CAF. The unit had previously tested with a multitude of issues and has not been mass produced to this point.
