CNW 4402 prepares to switch some cars near the south side of Milwaukee in December of 1999. Once part of the passenger mainline that served the Lakefront Depot, this area south of downtown was once an extremely busy part of the CNW. Business had fallen dramatically when this image was taken and is hanging on by a thread today.
