Montana Rail Link’s 844 local out of Logan heads westward on the Fifth Subdivision at Three Forks, Montana, on July 2, 2019. Today, the local is taking three empty ballast cars to the siding at Willow Creek, and will then make a trip up the Harrison Branch with the two covered hoppers. MRL No. 402 is an EMD GP35 that was originally a DT&I (later, Grand Trunk Western) locomotive that is not equipped with dynamic brakes.
