| New multi system testbed or demonstration locomotive of Bombardier Transportation, TRAXX F140 MS3 188 # 006, on an adhesion test run with about 1000 tons on the 2.7 % grade of the Lötschberg mountain line above Frutigen. This 6 MW locomotive is tested in view of a new acquisition of about 25 new locomotives for BLS Cargo. On the track in the foreground, the remains of the sand is visible, scattered as the train drove uphill very slowly. Now is is running down on the opposite track. |
