| Diesellocomotive Am 843 # 021 of SBB infrastructure is pulling a catenary maintenance vehicle on the Gotthard mountain line in the Biaschina, with the upper and middle levels of the railway "staircase" in the background. On the uppermost level is the Pianotondo viaduct, followed by the two spiral tunnels Pianotondo and Travi. The impressive Biaschina viaduct of the motorway A2 is 100 meter high, 645 meter long with a main span of 160 meter and was built from 1979 to 1983. |
