Built in 1904, the old City Hall subway station has been abandoned for more than 70 years. After discharging passengers at its southernmost stop, though, 6 trains still pass through the loop in order to turn around and head back uptown. The station is an architectural marvel with chandeliers, skylights, and incredible tile work.
