A former Conrail caboose brings up the rear of Norfolk Southern local A54 as the train is about to clear the W Meighan Blvd crossing in Gadsden, Alabama. The local crew has just left Siskin Yard (accessed by a spur on the GS Branch) in Gadsden and will return to their point of origin in nearby Attalla, Alabama. The caboose is used as a shoving platform for reverse moves on the GS branch.
