Back in the late eighties, early nineties. Santa Fe was really sold on the concept of B truck locomotives. The idea was with light hot shot trains, could really get up and fly. That I can't not argue with. As I got to see these trains in action at speed. A GP60M, GP60B and a B40-8 race across the California, Arizona desert as the evening light makes everything beautiful. As for the comfort of the crews, that's another story as the ride could be rough.
