| Dover and Rockaway Veteran's unit 1823 (GP10) was the logical choice for the annual Operation Toy Train/Toys For Tots Train given its military affiliations. On the morning of November 29, 2018, it was assembling the train at the United Rail Historical Society (URHS) facility in Boonton. The former Pennsylvania Railroad "Colonial Crafts" was not part of the train but was being moved out of the shop. The former New York Central Railroad "Hickory Creek"of 20th Century Limited fame can be seen in the background attached to the event consist.The former Lackwanna Railroad freight house to the right has been restored. |
