Vanishing heritage. If you thought that the former NYC signal bridge near MP30 in Scarborough, NY on the Hudson Line would be gone before the last of the old Tappan Zee Bridge, pay your bookie because you lost. With demolition set for the morning of Tuesday, January 15, 2019 for the eastern span and plans to dissasemble the western span in place, soon the Mario Cuomo Bridge will be the only occupant of the aqueous real estate of the Hudson River in the area. At sunset on Sunday, January 13, 2019, the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited (Train 49, P32AC-DM 710, Phase III leading) crosses under the ancient structure. Get your shots of these as well because there are only a handful of remaining signal bridges below CP 75, and even those no longer serve their intended purpose.
