Remarks & Notes 
This is the well known Kaiser Unit Coal Train, Rio Grande #769, operated jointly by the D&RGW and the Union Pacific. Both railroads used pooled SD45's exclusively on this train. It ran between the Sunnyside coal mine in Utah and the Kaiser steel plant in Fontana, California. It is seen here at the S curves at Kyune, Utah, on the east side of the grade to Soldier Summit. Scanned from a color print.
