Let the foreigner lead! CSX 4589 (SD70MAC, Spirit of Nashville) has been on lease to the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway since a derailment over the summer caused a power shortage. Since I had not yet caught it leading, I headed out on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 24, 2018 to shoot it on SU99. Here traveling over the trestle spanning the Ramapo River in Oakland, NJ, it is trailed by fellow EMDs NYSW 3808 (SD60), 3804 (SD60), and 3022 (SD40-2). The “S” in the middle of the span is a signature tell of this particular bridge.
