| Finding westbound trains on the CN around my place is pretty hard to do. Unless you find an extra nothing runs most afternoons. This evening we got lucky with an empty grain train rolling towards Waterloo as the shadows get long. The train rolls over the roller coaster railroad that makes up the west end of the Dubuque Sub. This train has empties for local elevators west of Waterloo. Grain is starting to move around Iowa as people get in position to make room for the fall harvest. |
