This is an overnight train composed with rented Italian cars (after the SNCF baggage car). Coming from Paris Gare de Lyon, it is rushing in the night fog toward the Alps, carrying Parisian vacationers going to ski resorts. It is on Track 1 (Main 1), meaning that the dispatcher (regulator in French) drew its itinerary through Fontainebleau. There are 2 alternative itineraries between Melun and Montereau, via Fontainebleau (left bank for the Seine River) or via Hericy (right bank). The train is passing right at the Villeneuve-la-Guyard flyovers, were the tracks of the 2 itineraries are rearranged into 4 mains in a cleverly designed manner, so that any itinerary combination can happen for simultaneous trains without conflict. I like this location a lot.
