Since a few weeks, few of the new doubledeck trains for long distance services, FVD (Fern Verkehrs Doppelstockzug) or Bombardier TWINDEXX Swiss Express, RABe 502 are in the "gelenkter Einsatz" (steered use, which means they are running a service, for which the planned trainset is on reserve) even over the 200 km/h "highspeed" stretch of the NBS (new fast line) between Bern and Olten. RABe 502 # 207, a 200 meter Interregio version, is running the IR # 2169 of the IR16 line from Bern nonstop to Olten, then via Aarau-Brugg-Baden to Zürich, near Hindelbank. The SBB gets 30 of this IR version of the FVD.
