| Thick fog and a heavy blanket of snow have covered the Virginia hills as the Whitethorne pushers wait amid the stillness to assist another coal train over the mountain on their journey to Roanoke and points eastward. It would be quite a while before their next assignment, as the extremely thick snow had almost all trains tied down in the region for the entirety of the morning. |
