| VL80T-976 electric 25 kV AC locomotive (max power - 6520 kW, max speed - 100 km/h) heading freight train. VL80T series were manufactured by Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Works between 1967 and 1984. In total there were produced 1317 two-sectional units of VL80T. Now VL80T series are in operation on the railways of Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. VL80T is predecessor of VL80S, which differs from VL80T only the ability to work in 3 or 4 sections and some differences related to the cheaper production. |
