The sun lights up the Fulton Yard fuel rack minutes before slipping below the horizon on a clear April evening. The coaling tower in the background has since passed into history, along with the steel yard tower and the wooden tower at the yard lead, leaving almost no structures remaining within the once busy C&O Fulton complex. Most CSX power now runs through to and from Newport News.
