I got the mileage! Soo Line 4225 idles outside the joint SOO/UP Menominee Belt yard office in July of 1999. This joint yard was originally a CNW/MILW operation when I got my first ride on a locomotive, MILW FM 760. There were numerous grain elevators (among other factories) that served Milwaukee's huge beer industry. The yard sign still reads CNW 4 years after the merger with the UP. The yard still exists, but in a much smaller form as most of the business is gone.
