The Milwaukee Road bought switchers from EMD, FM, Alco, and Baldwin. When my father visited "Southtown" yard, the switching fleet was dominated by Baldwins as shown here. Luckily this picture has the "South Minneapolis" sign on the building to identify the location, because this yard is not only gone, but the whole area has been redeveloped. R.T. Steinbrenner Photo
