A northbound Amtrak train makes a station stop at the station in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The station has been renovated since this 1982 photo, but the Farm & Tack Supply is pretty much the same. My slide labelling says that this is the Palmetto, but the lighting suggests that it’s early in the day for train 90.
With Northeast Regional trains, Auto Train and long distance service to Florida, New Orleans and Chicago, a lot of train riding and train watching can be had.
