Cab hop U52 crosses the high bridge over Powell River approaching Appalachia on its return trip from Norton to Andover Yard. A second bridge over the ex-L&N CV main is just out of view to the left. In earlier years, the calm water approaching the bridge was a favorite "swimmin' hole".
