Remarks & Notes
After a long wait at CA Jct., BNSF Train O MPLTOP1 28A makes its way around the curve at Fleming on Main Track 1 of the BNSF Marceline Sub. with what was the 2016 BNSF Special, returning to Topeka, KS from employee appreciation trips in the Twin Cities Area, as well as throughout the system earlier this spring and summer.

I couldn't help but have a sinking feeling while waiting on this move, observing the entire railroad in a severely disrupted condition due to the head-on collision the day before in Panhandle, TX that resulted in the deaths of 3 brothers and sister railroaders and severe injuries to another. I can only hope that they did not suffer, and their families and friends find peace in their time of mourning.
