Hinton, West Virginia was a busy division point on the Chesapeake & Ohio. Although there was other traffic, the predominant commodity carried on the C&O was West Virginia coal. Here a loaded eastbound train with two SD50’s leading is well on its way out of town as a westbound train of empties rolls into Hinton with four GP’s.
